Jessica Erickson and Mique Provost began their business venture over thirty years ago as sisters. After years of sharing rooms, a phone line and similar passions they left home (Mique first, followed two years later by Jess) for college.
Over the years both experienced lots of ups- college, weddings, children- with a few downs mixed in. Although they’ve always been pretty close, they became talk-on-the-phone-every day close after Jess entered the motherhood club. With five children between them, they are never short on conversation.
They are California girls through and through and love love love San Diego and all it has to offer. They feel so lucky to have been raised in such an amazing place with a fantastic family. They proudly call Encinitas our hometown and love being there to hang out at the beach, eat a good bean and cheese burrito and spend time with family and friends.
The sisters have been to many boutiques/fairs/markets over the years and decided that they wanted to offer one of our own in the place we love. They are thrilled to be making a dream come true together.
After the holiday show in November 2011, Jess made the tough decision to focus on Allora Handmade and most importantly (always), her family. As of 2012, the Queen Bee Market is owned by Mique with Jess as QBM’s biggest cheerleader. She continues to support the market and as long as Mique can convince her, Jess will have an AH booth.

Mique has been married to the funniest guy she knows, Josh, for almost 14 years. Together they have three crazy, cute kids. Mique posts daily at Thirty Handmade Days, a creative blog. She loves: the beach, Dr. Pepper, driving to clear her mind, good music and food. She is passionate about special needs and is an autism momma.
