For our holiday show, we have the honor to work with sponsors who are amazing companies with creative visions. One such shop is Maisonnette. Located in downtown Oceanside, it’s the cutest store of it’s kind.

Tell us a bit about Maisonnette.
Maisonnette is boutique located downtown Oceanside, owned by Ava Warr and her daughters Natalie and Madeline. Natalie is a photographer and has a studio at Maisonnette, Madeline is a seamstress and in charge of the fabric selection. Maisonnette features fabric, photography, local art, jewelry and handmade gifts.
What can customers expect when they visit your cute store?
The latest fabrics from all the hot designers, a full service photography studio and amazing art work, jewelry and handmade goodies!

Where do you ladies find inspiration?
Well…we love Anthropologie, but who doesn’t! We love sewing and craft blogs, and we are always inspired by our amazing customers!
What are you most proud of (personally or about Maisonnette :) ?
The selection of fabrics you can’t get anywhere else locally. Providing our customers with ability to see,touch and feel the fabric…something you can’t do online. However we do have an awesome online shop!


Outside of work-
We LOVE to travel…some of our favorite spots are Mexico and Brazil. We love exploring the different areas of San Diego County, finding art, culture and yummy food, within this amazing community! We feel so blessed to live in such a beautiful area.

Where do you like to go locally? (ie- the beach, a favorite restaurant, etc)
The beach is #1 for us…hey our shop is only a couple blocks from the beach! Our favorite restaurants are Siamese Basil in Encinitas, The Fish Joint in Oceanside (best sushi ever), Burger House in Oceanside, Saigon on Fifth in San Diego and Indigo Grill in San Diego.
How long have you been in the San Diego area?30 years

What do you love most about it? The ocean, weather and the great sense of community.
